MAHONEY
Mahoney is played by Steve Guttenberg. Steve was born on the 8/24/1958 in Brooklyn, New York.
The likable, curly-haired Steve Guttenberg first appeared onscreen in a 1976 Kentucky Fried Chicken commercial; the following year he starred in the teen comedy The Chicken Chronicles (he likes his chicken baby). This was followed by the turkey Can't Stop the Music (1980) which was about The Village People (the Village People are a gay pop group, in many of the police academy films people end up in the gay bar the Blue Oyster Club).
Thankfully Guttenberg soon won acclaim for his performance in Diner (1982). He has since been a frequent comedic lead, appearing in Three Men and a Baby (1987), its sequel Three Men and a Little Lady, and of course his role as Mahoney in the Police Academy movies (1984, 1985, 1986, 1987). He has also appeared in such features as the film Home for the Holidays (1995).
Below is my mighty collection of pictures of Steve Guttenberg, If you let the mouse hover over the picture a description will appear.
